I have great admiration for the Islamic Society of Britain, set up to raise awareness of what it means to be a Muslim in British society, to educate and to promote mutual understanding and respect between us all. I am delighted that this year’s theme is ‘The Things We Have In Common’ – something that is too easily overlooked in our complex society – and I wish you every success in promoting your message.
